"3 cheers"...the second one..

‘3 Idiots’. The name sounded like the story of three dumb looking actors playing their part over the strings of movie director.

I must admit, this movie is the most admirable movie of the year (after ‘Kaminey’ etc). After watching this movie I couldn’t fathom that how could it’s director Raj Kumar Hirani make every movie of his so different and special that it connects to the public right from the first show. Think over his few past movies: Munnabhai MBBS, Lagey Raho Munnabhai and now 3-Idiots. Every movie is conceptualized in a different sphere.

The story of 3-Idiots is very different and experimental. It practically connects to the life of engineering students who may or may not actually want to be an engineer. The movie talks about Rancho who is passionate about electrical engineer that always motivates him to chase excellence rather than success. Yes I could figure out some of the students like him from my engineering days, but not very sure if they could be perfect example of what I am looking at. Those days we used to refer them as jerks..!!! The story talks about Raju who had joined engineering for a very specific reason. He had his own apprehensions and fears due to which he prays to God to counter them. The movie also talks about Qureshi who doesn’t want to be an engineer at all. He loves photography and wants to pursue a career in it, but due to societal pressure he is forced to join engineering line.

All three of them post a different yet practical life ambitions and the story merges them. It was interesting and nostalgic to watch the ragging scenes from the movie. However we didn’t have that courage to resist the seniors by conducting electricity through their bodies..!!!! The speech by 'Silencer' was too good and reminded me of my days when we used to do the same with instructions written at the back of hostel ID card..!! And then making fun of college head-master in front of seniors at the fresher’s day

The cast: Aamir Khan has again proved that he is the real actor left in the industry who can be banked upon. In this movie he is looking atleast 20 years younger than he actually is. Think about his earlier movie: Ghajini. This movie must be very tough to make with all the actors acting as juvenile engineering students. Kareena looked out of place. Her role was short but impressive, but credit still goes to Aamir to make that interesting.

The movie has some very good songs with inspiring lyrics to bank upon. Have a look: -
“Give me some sun shine…give me some rain. Give me another chance, so we gonna grow again”
“murgi kya jaane ande ka future kya hoga…life milegi ya tawe pe fry hoga…”

This movie has all the good reasons to celebrate the coming new year. It makes you feel good, energetic and positive at the end. So follow this line: -
“Aal izz well”
